At the invitation of France's ministry of culture and PARIS PHOTO, Carey's large scale Crush and Pulls were selected for the PathsEllesX PARIS PHOTO. Her works were acololso selected by JPMorgan Chase Art Collection for a curator's highlights guide. It includes just 20 photographers as "must see".

Theatre Workshop of Nantucket TWN

Hostetler artwork adds the luxury note to the TWN current production of “It’s Only a Play” written by Terrance McNally. The stage is set with lacewood carving, Elegant; bronze of Folk Goddess and 2 charcoal drawings; Mindscape and Feminine Mystique. The play runs until July 7.

Warhol Supports Experimental Photography

Ellen Carey was awarded a $30,000 grant from the Warhol Foundation for he upcoming retrospective at the Burchfield-Penny Art Center. It is titled Picture Nothing: The Experimental Photography of Ellen Carey 1977-2017. BPAC is planning a tour and it opens September 14, 2018 through the end of December 2018a

Ellen Carey and Susan Hostetler PARIS PHOTO, France

Ellen Carey's Dings and Shadows photogram was featured in the J.P. Morgan exhibit in Paris Photo November 6 though 12th. I joined Ellen for the VIP opening and toured the show.
